In accordance with the Diocesan guidelines for the religious education and faith formation of children, we offer programs for the continual development of a child's personal relationship with God and the knowledge of the beliefs, traditions, and doctrine of our Catholic Faith. We also provide opportunities to experience various forms of prayer and service activities. Classes are held weekly on Wednesday evenings. Location and times are as follows:

Since the heart of the catechetical program is the parish community, we depend on a large number of volunteers to carry out this ministry.

You are invited to:

• Serve weekly as a catechist or aide
• Help when needed as a substitute or tutor
• Share your artistic or musical talents

Volunteer support includes training, formation, resources, and consultation.

Children four years through eight years of age gather during the 8:30 & 11:00am Masses on Sunday mornings to celebrate the Liturgy of the Word for children. After the Opening Prayer of the Mass, the children are invited to hear the Word of God proclaimed, reflect upon its meaning, and pray according to their age of faith development. Adult catechists lead the children through this especially enriching experience of the Mass. At the offertory the children are reunited with their families for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Children four years old through Grad 5 are offered the opportunity to explore   faith through community orientated program with various summer fun activities for one week. Vacation Bible school consists of 3 area churches: Queen of the Apostles, St. Ambrose & St. Georges.  Other area churches also offer Vacation Bible School with evening hours.  Registration for Vacation Bible School occurs in late spring. A group meets every Thursday from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM to study the Scripture readings for the upcoming Sunday. Previous knowledge of Scriptures is not required. Anyone interested in joining this group should contact Father Dennis at the Parish Office.
